About mystic-legacy

Dedicated to transforming how young people understand and interact with money

Our Story

Founded in Sheffield in 2019, mystic-legacy emerged from a simple observation: schools teach algebra and history, but rarely cover the practical financial skills every adult needs.

Our founder spent fifteen years in financial services, watching talented colleagues struggle with personal finances despite their professional expertise. The pattern was clear: financial literacy isn't intuitive. It must be taught.

We started with a single workshop in a community centre. Today, we've educated over 1,200 young people across South Yorkshire, partnering with schools, community organisations, and families who share our vision.

Our Teaching Philosophy

We believe children learn best when they're engaged, curious, and having fun. That's why our sessions feel more like games than lectures.

  • Learning by doing: Every concept comes with a practical exercise
  • Age-appropriate complexity: We meet children where they are
  • Safe failure: Mistakes with pretend money teach real lessons
  • Family involvement: Parents receive tools to continue learning at home
